3 Credits Social Sciences,EDU, & HUS Education This course will assist teachers in designing classroom, instructional, and school environments to accommodate the full range of learners in the general secondary education setting. Strategies for teaching students who are gifted, disabled, and English language learners will be included. 2 hrs. lect.; 2 hrs. lab. Prerequisites: Overall minimum cumulative average of 2.00, PSY 206 with a grade of C or better and EDU 206. NOTE: Students must have time available in their academic schedules to spend a minimum of 2 hours a week in a culturally diverse secondary education classroom between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (Transportation arrangements are each student's responsibility.) School field placements are set up by the College.
