4 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Emer Medical Tech This course is the second half of the New York State Basic EMT Program. Completion of this course and EMT 101 allows the student to sit for the New York State Basic EMT Certification exams. The course provides training in the methods of dealing with medical emergencies, emergency childbirth, burns and hazardous materials, trauma and shock, and pediatrics. Observation in a hospital emergency room and with an ambulance crew is required. Special fee applies.
