4 Credits Math,Science,ENGR, & TECH Biology This lecture and laboratory course provides a survey of the green plants, together with representative prokaryotes, protists, and fungi. Topics include taxonomy and phylogeny, life cycles, reproduction and development, angiosperm anatomy and physiology, and ecology. The laboratory component includes examination of preserved and living representatives of the major groups, physiology experiments, and an individual, semester-long project. 3 hrs. lect; 3 hrs. lab. Lab fee. Prerequisite: One year of college laboratory biology or by advisement.
