This course stresses the roles and expertise of both copy editor and news editor. Topics include history, law and ethics of the press, editing for style, grammar, objectivity, fairness and balance, composing headlines, page make-up, and the organization of the small newspaper. Prerequisite: ENGL 237. 3 Cr. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.) Spring semester.
