Leadership requires an entirely new set of skills informed by an enlightened view of the organization, its people and culture. New leaders become successful only when they master these three areas. The Harvard Leadership Series brings these leadership challenges to life through the use of Harvard Business Review case studies Topics include: Orchestrating Cross-Functional Initiatives: Project Teams and Task Forces Increasingly, people are being called on to interface with others outside of their immediate work group. While cross-departmental teamwork brings many benefits, to achieving a smooth coordination of tasks among individuals requires specific and enhanced skills. During this session, we will examine ways to develop interpersonal communication and problem solving skills specific to this type of workgroup environment. We will utilize a series of small and large group exercises, case studies and role-plays that provide opportunities to practice newly acquired skills in a safe and engaging way, while building positive work relationships. Activities can be designed around actual workplace experiences.
