This course includes types of insurance companies, rates and premiums, including fire, inland, marine, automobile, public liability, workers' compensation, accident, and health insurance. In addition, the course will examine the duties and obligations of an insurance broker and insurance lawyer. These topics are discussed in sufficient detail to prepare the student to take both the New York State general agent's license and the broker agent's license examinations. 6 Cr. (6 Lec.) Spring semester.
