This course provides an introduction to clay as a material that serves both expressive and functional purposes. Topics include various hand building techniques, use of the potter's wheel, the glazing and firing of projects, and an overview of the history of ceramics. ART 130 fulfills the SUNY General Education requirement in the Arts. 3 Cr. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.) Fall and spring semesters.
