Students will explore the functional and expressive applications of color photography using color negative film and a traditional darkroom. Topics include film types, color balance, print processing, print presentation, and use of studio electronic flash. Historical topics and the work of contemporary photographers will be studied. Students will concentrate on the production of creative photography with an emphasis on the technical, formal, and aesthetic attributes of color. Prerequisite: ART 111. 3 Cr. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.) Spring semester.
