3 credits Prerequisite: PLA 2303. This course is designed to prepare the student to assist the trial attorney in preparing for criminal litigation in the Florida and federal courts. Special emphasis is placed on preparation of a trial brief including voir dire, abstracts of depositions, motion practice and proposed jury instructions. Criminal appeals will be covered as well. 47 contact hours.
