This course introduces the student to the basic features of inductive and deductive logic along with critical reasoning and informal argument. Extensive practice is provided in applying the principles which determine whether an argument is valid or invalid. In addition, there is an assessment of the structure of ordinary language and informal reasoning. 47 contact hours.
