This course provides an overview of risk management and is designed to offer those who wish to move into a risk management position a basic understanding of the management of risk and its integration into strategic and operational planning. The focus is on gaining a fundamental understanding of the categories of risk; the techniques used to minimize risk; and the components of a risk management program. Topics to be covered include liability, property loss exposures, safety and accident prevention. 30 contact hours.
