1 credits Corequisites: NUR 1211, NUR 1211L. This course introduces essential concepts and principles of pharmacology as applied in the nursing management of client care. Emphasis is on application of the nursing process to the care of clients receiving pharmaceutical agents. The knowledge and skills required for safe, effective administration of therapeutic drugs are an integral part of this course. Satisfactory completion of this course is required for progression in the nursing program. This course contains a number of critical behaviors including medication administration, that must be performed without error by the end of the course to pass the course. 47 contact hours.
