This course provides an examination of personal values, cultural beliefs and practices of selected cultural groups that contribute to the holistic nature of each group member. The focus is on communication and cultural responses to health and illness as they influence the homeodynamic balance of individuals, families and their communities. Nursing interventions that integrate varying cultural health practices are acquired. 45 contact hours.
