A continuation of CHEM 3181. The nature and reactions of organic compounds are studied via a functional group organization. Atomic and molecular orbital theory; aliphatic, aromatic, alicyclic, reaction mechanisms; resonance, stereoisomerism, conformational analysis and free radicals. (3 hr. lec/1 hr. rec.) Prerequisites: CHEM 3181, CHEM 3183 with a minimum grade of "C" or permission of theinstructor. Corequisite: CHEM 3184.
