3 credits "G" Prerequisite: (Appropriate score on the CPT) or (acceptance into the Honors College) or approval of the program director. This course is a study of various epochs of Western culture from the ancient to Renaissance periods with emphasis on analysis and synthesis of ideas and structure in the visual arts, literature, philosophy, and music. It stresses development of personal aesthetic sensibilities and commitment to intellectual curiosity. This course partially satisfies the writing requirements outlined in the General Education Requirements. Credit is not given for both HUM 2210 and HUM 2210H. (Students who received credit for HUM 2250 cannot also receive credit for HUM 2210 or HUM 2233.) 47 contact hours.
