3 credits Prerequisites: Admission to the Technology Management or International Business BAS programs or to the Business Technology Education BS program. This course is designed to familiarize the student with the management approach to defining and implementing e-commerce (EC) systems. The course addresses the digital economy, EC strategy and marketing, EC models (Business to Business, Business to Consumer, etc.) as well as EC architectures. The course will cover management and regulatory issues in EC such as internationalization, electronic payment methods, Internet fraud, mobile ecommerce, and current implementation technologies. Architectures and inter-dependence (i.e. integration) of systems will be covered. 47 contact hours.
