2 credits Prerequisite: HIM 2500, HIM 2810 with grades of "C" or better or approval of program director. Pre or co-requisite: HIM 2510 with grade of "C" or better. This clinical practice allows the Health Information A.S. degree student to participate in health information (medical record) management functions in either an acute care or other health record setting. Topics addressed include various organization and supervision activities. The student will become familiar with and utilize various types of equipment, systems and processes used in health information departments. 90 contact hours.
