2 credits Prerequisite: HIM 2033C or program director approval. Corequisite: HIM 2034C. This clinical practicum allows the student to experience and practice transcription in an acute care or alternative care setting. Topics addressed will be legal and ethical issues, confidentiality, and proper transcription techniques and procedures. The student will become familiar with and utilize various types of equipment used in transcription. 60 contact hours.
