3 credits Prerequisite: ART 1201C, ART 1300C. This course is an introduction to the concepts and methods of illustration which permit visual-verbal relationships to be formed. Stressing concept, students will develop visual solutions, which parallel and/or expand upon verbal information. The student will also develop self-expression within the parameters of the field of illustration and the practical aspects of an illustration career. A wide variety of media and imagery will be employed. 92 contact hours.
