This course introduces building healthcare information architecture for integrated delivery systems. Database theory, design, and management concepts with emphases on data integrity, security, and data mining/trending using query and report generation from healthcare data warehouses will be addressed. Workflow and process re/design to support clinical, financial, and administrative reporting and decision making will also be covered. 47 contact hours.
