This course addresses information systems theory, electronic health/medical record concepts and associated infrastructure and applications, as well as strategic planning and implementation of health/medical record information systems. Additional issues to be covered include legal, ethical, and regulatory concepts, privacy and security requirements, best practices, and future trends. 47 contact hours.
