2 credits Prerequisite: Permission of program director. This course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills essential to graphic artists and design professionals in the visual communications industry. The course will highlight industry professionalism, legal and business practices, standards and ethics, copyright laws as well as artists' rights. Students will examine the concept of entrepreneurship and skills needed to operate a small business effectively. Part of the course will involve student internship at a pre-approved location. 62 contact hours.
