3 credits Prerequisite: FIL 2100. A course designed to help students gain an in-depth knowledge of the techniques of motion picture writing and implement these techniques in original work of their own. Students will work on already existing story concepts, polish and/or revise story structure, dialogue, and action sequences, and complete a film screenplay. The course also offers students the opportunity to learn how to market their ideas and screenplays. This course has a substantial writing requirement. 47 contact hours.
