Focuses on their respective power potential;leadership perceptions and character; domestic politics and trends;and the international setting for each country's attempt to exercisepower and influence. Through application of these variables, thesource seeks to equip students with a general model of foreign policybehavior. Particular attention given to possible sources of conflictand to the elements of a stable 21st Century international system.Requirements include student role-playing as a Russian or Chineseparticipant in an end-of-the- semester simulation.
