3 credits Prerequisite: paramedic, registered nurse, respiratory therapist or other advanced professional medical license or graduate standing. The student will learn the effects of altitudinal change on the human body in health, illness and injury; and the use of normal and emergency equipment during air transport in the care of a patient. The student will become acquainted with types of air transport used for ambulance purposes and the laws governing them. 47 contact hours.
