2 credits Prerequisites: EMS 1119, EMS 1119L, EMS 1411 all with grades of "C" or better. The student will be assigned to contract agencies for patient care experience with fire-rescue and ambulance units under the direct supervision of State of Florida certified EMTs and Paramedics. The course is designed as a competency-based field component where the individual gains emergency and non-emergency insight into the mechanics of assisting the ill or injured patient in the out-of-hospital environment. 96 contact hours.
