2 credits Prerequisites: Appropriate score on the Placement Test and "Professional Rescuer" CPR card. Corequisites: EMS 1119 and EMS 1411. Laboratory practice in emergency procedures for life-threatening disease, accident, or illness is closely supervised to foster confidence in the student's abilities to apply theory in a laboratory setting. Techniques for patient assessment, evaluation and treatment are practiced in an assessment-based format in a laboratory setting. 64 contact hours.
