4 credits Prerequisite: Admission to the College of Education Educational Studies Program and senior standing. This course is to be taken during the student's last semester in the College of Education. This multidisciplinary course is the culminating experience with a focus on critical analysis designed to broaden students' perspectives within the social sciences, including Education. This course helps students seeking careers in non-school settings develop a more thorough understanding of the issues confronting institutions from a national or global perspective. Students will integrate knowledge and skills developed during the Educational Studies program to create an independent study such as a research project, case study, grant application, improvement plan, service learning project, etc. to explore a specific issue or problem. 62 contact hours.
