This course explores the nature and structure of arguments, deductive and induc-tive inference, correct and incorrect patterns of reasoning, and the influence of language upon thought. Emphasis is placed upon de-veloping practical skills in reading and argu-mentative writing which will benefit students in everyday life as well as in training for their profession. (fall, spring)
