3 credits Prerequisite: CTS 2321 A continuation of CTS 2321, this course is designed to teach students the skills they need to effectively administer Linux servers. Students will plan, install, and perform support tasks related to their individual Linux server. Students will configure basic network protocols and share resources with other students in the class. Major topics covered include filesystem and disk management, backup and restore procedures, printers, scripts, networking and network services, X Windows, mail and troubleshooting. 47 contact hours.
