2 credits Prerequisite: COP1822, with topic, HTML and permission of program director. This course introduces the basic skills necessary to be an effective designer and/or developer for the World Wide Web, and is the foundation class for the Web Design and Developer Programs. The student will be introduced to skills that are necessary to develop and maintain complex Web sites, including a fundamental understanding of the client-server nature of the World Wide Web. The student will learn to separate content and format, including an understanding of basic Web page and site design using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). 32 contact hours.
