This course covers the nature, classification and characteristics of law including the study of jurisdiction and the functions of the court system as they affect the business environment. Topics include common law contracts, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) including commercial paper and bank collections, business entities, agency, securities regulation, and intellectual property. 47 contact hours.
