4 credits This course will cover number systems, codes, logic gates, Boolean algebra, logic simplification and combinational logic. The areas of coverage will also include the study of the theory, concepts, and circuits of digital electronics including decoders, encoders, multiplexers, flip flops, counters, and registers used in the applications of combinational and sequential logic. The laboratory exercises cover the measurement and analysis of digital circuits and devices. 62 contact hours.
