3 credits Prerequisite: Admission to the Veterinary Technology BAS program or permission of the Dean. This course will provide an introduction to ultrasound imaging in veterinary medicine. It is designed to give students an understanding of how sonography is utilized in veterinary practice. Ultrasound equipment, scanning protocols, sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissues, and the diagnostic limitations of ultrasound examination will be covered. 47 contact hours or equivalent.
