3 credits Prerequisites: BCT 2771 or BCT 2730. Students will be expected to have a working knowledge of computers including Internet access and a current email address. This course is an in-depth look at the challenges of coordinating and managing large-scale construction projects. Major topics include construction participants, contracts, pre-construction planning, bidding, negotiating, inspections, codes, safety, project closeout and conflict resolution. Emphasis will be on the use of computer technology as a tool in the management process. 47 contact hours.
