This course is designed to train students in the fundamentals of welder certification on structural carbon steel using shielded metal arc welding (SMA W) in the overhead position. Welding procedures developed in accordance with the American Welding Society (AWS) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) are used to prepare students to pass nationally recognized welder certification tests. Prerequisite: PMT0106. Corequisites: PMT0121, PMT0122, PMT0182
