18.2 V Process 2 builds on the theory and skills introduced in Process 1. Emphasis is on the role of the practical nurse in providing holistic health care to clients across the life span in a structured health care setting. Learning experiences will be provided that relate the nursing process to the client with commonly occurring medical-surgical conditions with practical application ofmore complex nursing skills. Prerequisite: PRN0001C CGS1101 M ICROSOFT OFFICE APPLICATIONS 3.0 P A course designed to use components of the Microsoft Office suite in common business applications. Students will gain experience in using Word to create and edit documents; Excel to create, modify and chart spreadsheet data; Access to create, edit and manipulate data in databases; and PowerPoint to create a professional slide show presentation. Students will complete integration exercises. Windows functions such as file management, e-mail, and Internet Explorer will be addressed briefly. Keyboarding experience is strongly recommended. Students must know basic computer terminology and have experience using the microcomputer before taking this course
