O This course is the second in a series of clinical courses designed to provide the student with practical experience delivering dental hygiene care to patients. Both the clinical and didactic portions of this course are structured to reinforce and apply requirements that call for the students to treat patients who have slightly more advanced conditions and, thus, demand more advanced cognitive psychomotor skills. The didactic materials will be taught in seminar format spread throughout the semester. Students will discuss clinical issues and topics relevant to their clinical experiences and other course work that relates to clinical practice, thus enhancing their transfer of knowledge and skills from the classroom to the clinical environment.
