O This course is designed for the applications user or software specialist with little previous knowledge or experience with software architecture. The broad objective of this course is for students to become proficient at managing PC software, with special emphasis on the Windows operating system but including an introduction to the Linux operating system. Topics include functions of the operating system; installing, configuring and optimizing software; advanced file and disk management; system utilities, system security, evaluating system performance, and troubleshooting tools. This course is aligned with CompTIA?s A+ Essentials and IT Technician exams. Prerequisite: CGS1000 with minimum grade of C
