P This course introduces some of the basic concepts of biology to the student and illustrates how these concepts apply to various aspects of contemporary life in global, national, and regionally diverse societies. The concepts covered are discussed in terms of the interrelatedness of diverse cultures and include methods of science, technology, genetics, evolution, reproduction, development, health, diseases and ecology as they relate to the global impacts of humans onthe world as well as the unifying effects of biology on all humans.
