P PGY2210C introduces the student to portraiture as a way of expressing emotion and the human condition. The emphasis is on the continued exploration of personal communication and artistic expression as it relates specifically to the portrait. Portraiture is intended for students who already possess basic camera and darkroom experience and skills. Students will learn to use studio lighting, backdrops, hand-held meters, and will print 11x14 on fiber paper. Participation in open lab hours will be necessary for successful completion of this course. Prerequisite: PGY1401C with minimum grade of C. Other equivalent experience may be substituted.
