P This course is intended for science and pre-professional majors. It is the first part of a two term organic chemistry sequence, CHM2210 and CHM2211, and provides an introduction to the structure, properties, reactions, synthesis, and occurrence of organic molecules with emphasis on modern synthetic and spectrophotometric methods. The laboratory is an integral part of the course and consists of selected experiments that correlate with the lecture topics. Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of the general chemistry sequence (CHM2045/L, CHM2046/L) or the consent of the instructor. Co-requisite: CHM2210L
