This course deals with the visual presentation of facts and ideas, the creative editorial point of view and the evaluation of the non-mechanical qualities of photography. Still photography is studied as a means of visual communication with emphasis on photojournalism and its use by the media. The student should have access to a camera, preferably a 35mm single-lens reflex. Prerequisite: ART 119. 3 credits
