Industrial Control Electronics 1 Pre: IEL 102 Co: IEL204 AND IEL205 Introduces the theory and practical application of industrial control elements including single and multi-phase power transformers, single and multi-phase AC motors, DC motors, stepper and servo motors. Theory and application of fiber optics with respect to signal transmission characteristics and interconnection techniques is presented. Hands-on applications are heavily emphasized for all topics covered. (3 hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab per week)
