Composition 2: African-American Writers Pre: CMP101 Co: Emphasis is on the experience of African-Americans as reflected in literature from the African tradition through the slave era, the Negro Renaissance and Civil Rights movement. Such writers as Hughes, Wheatley, Wright, Dubois, Clifton, and Walker will be studied. Fulfills open, liberal arts, composition 2, composition 2-LT, and humanities electives.
