Third Party Reimbursement Pre:Knowledge of Medical Terminology Co: Examines the third party billing process utilizing simulated case studies, computer software, and the use of various health insurance claim forms required by third party payers such as Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Carriers, Workers Compensation, and Health Maintenance Organizations. Related terminology, submission of claims, case flow, office policies, the patient registration process, and the use of referrals are reviewed. An overview of the reimbursement process, fee schedules, review of explanation of benefits, coordination of benefits, and collection procedures will also be presented. An introduction to the ADA (American Dental Association) claim form will be included.
