3 credits This course in basic Spanish is designed for those in the health care professions. It focuses on providing students with the language skills and specialized vocabulary necessary to facilitate basic communication with Spanish speaking patients. Students will also study the impact of culture on the health care needs of Hispanic people. No previous Spanish is required. Prerequisites: RDG100, ENG100 or placement. Fall and spring.
