3 credits This is a course designed for the student who has reached the intermediate stage of English grammar. Through a broad range of student-centered activities, students are given the opportunity to practice and reinforce important grammatical structures and patterns through conversation. Dialogues, discussion, debates, and analysis of idioms will be used throughout the course. This course is intended to actively engage the student in meaningful conversation. Credits are not applicable toward a degree. Prerequisites: high school diploma or GED and ELC101 or appropriate placement. Institutional credit only. Fall and spring.
