3 credits This course is designed as a final step in the reading preparation of non-native and bilingual students to mainstream into regular college courses. The materials used will expand the student's vocabulary and provide the student with the tools necessary to improve comprehension and increase reading speed. Students will be exposed to the complexity of language used in college textbooks. Prerequisites: high school diploma or GED and ELR102 or appropriate placement. Fall and spring.
