Description:
MTH 096 is designed for students who desire to transition from MTH 090 (Fundamentals of Mathematics) to MTH 125 (Intermediate Algebra) in one semester. This course, offered during the final one-third of the semester, will bridge student knowledge from MTH 090 to either MTH 097(Beginning Algebra B) or MTH 125. Concepts discussed include a brief review of real numbers and an introduction to basic algebraic techniques. Topics include operations with real numbers, solution of equations, ratio and proportion, graphing, operations with polynomials, factoring, and contextual problems. Co-requisite: Current enrollment in and successful completion of MTH 090. 0 cr. 2 Lec. (Per Departmental Standards Version of MTH 096, approved by Academic Affairs on 10/14/04).
